Devotional: The Blessing of Open Hands
Scripture: Malachi 3:10 (NIV)
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
✨ Devotion
Have you ever been afraid to let go of something, only to discover that surrender was the very key to freedom?
God’s words through the prophet Malachi are not angry accusations—they’re a loving challenge. A divine invitation. He sees our hesitation, our fear of not having enough, and He says:
“Test Me. Trust Me. Watch what I will do.”
He’s not asking us to give out of pressure—but out of faith. When we hold back, we’re saying, “God, I’m not sure You’ll take care of me.”
But when we give freely, we’re saying, “God, I believe You’re more than enough.”
This is more than finances. It’s about living with open hands—offering God our time, our gifts, our energy, our heart—knowing He is a faithful Father who loves to bless His children.
💡 The truth is: God’s storehouses are never empty.
When we bring Him our little, He opens the floodgates of heaven—not just with things, but with peace, joy, provision, opportunity, and purpose.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me live with open hands and a trusting heart. I don’t want to live in fear of not having enough—I want to live in faith, knowing that You are more than enough. Teach me to give with joy, to trust with boldness, and to believe that You are always working for my good. Pour out Your blessing, not just for me, but through me. Amen.
💭 Today’s Inspiration
You don’t have to be wealthy to be generous.
You just have to be willing.
God isn’t after your money—He’s after your heart. And when He has your heart, He can pour out blessings you never imagined. Not just to fill your life—but to overflow into the lives of others.
💬 Let this sink in:
God says, “Test Me.”
You’ll never regret trusting the One who owns the floodgates of heaven.
